`Abdu'l-Bahá, the son of the founder of the Baha'i Faith, Bahá'u'lláh, visited Oakland in early October 1912. In his visit he stayed with Baha'is on Jackson Street and spoke with Oaklanders throughout the downtown area. As part of this visit He walked the lake. The Oakland Baha'i community would like to commemorate this walk by inviting the whole of Oakland to walk in unity with us!
Light refreshments will be served from 1-1:30 and the walk will commence afterwards.
